Kimberley Ney, MBA

Vice President, Communications

As Vice President, Communications, Kimberley oversees the development of marketing and communications programs and initiatives that raise awareness of the importance of professional financial planning and help grow the community of CFP® professionals.

Kimberley works with a team of professionals to develop the creation of communications for all FPSC stakeholder groups, including current and prospective CFP professionals, financial services industry representatives, elected officials and the general public.

Since joining FPSC in 2013, Kimberley has developed and expanded strategic communications to advance FPSC’s purpose of instilling confidence in the financial planning profession. She launched FPSC’s first national television awareness campaign, introduced new consumer facing tools and resources for CFP professionals to use in their promotion of financial planning, created a network of CFP professional ambassadors who lecture at various colleges and universities regarding the profession and expanded FPSC’s Financial Planning Week events to take place in Vancouver as well as Toronto.

Prior to joining FPSC, Kimberley spent almost 20 years in the credit union system, most recently as Senior Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility at Alterna Savings, the second largest financial co-operative in Ontario.

A long-time advocate for corporate citizenship and social responsibility, Kimberley’s passion for empowering Canadians through financial literacy and corporate accountability has been paramount throughout her career.
