FPSC provides access to a Fairness Commissioner to conduct an impartial and unbiased third-party review of an FPSC process followed in reaching a decision. The Fairness Commissioner is a past Chair of the FPSC Board of Directors.
The Fairness Commissioner is the final point of escalation, one which may only be pursued where the complainant can demonstrate that there was a conflict of interest, that all available evidence was not considered or that appropriate procedures were not followed in the regular FPSC process. For all complaints against FPSC, or a CFP® professional or FPSC Level 1® Certificant in Financial Planning, the first point of contact remains FPSC, in accordance with Filing a Complaint with the Fairness Commissioner.
If you have fully engaged in the regular complaints process and feel the outcome was affected by one of the grounds noted above, click here for information on how to file a complaint with the Fairness Commissioner.
