Board of Directors
FPSC’s Board of Directors is accountable for the organization’s success. It is responsible for the organization’s purpose and mandate, for establishing the organization’s ends and for monitoring its achievement of those ends. It is also responsible to ensure the organization is governed appropriately.
The Board works on behalf of the public, CFP® professionals and other stakeholders to ensure that FPSC’s purpose – to drive value and instil confidence in financial planning – is realized.
The Board is composed of ten individuals with varied backgrounds that are relevant to FPSC’s purpose and diverse stakeholder interests. A majority of the Board members shall be comprised of CFP professionals or licensed financial planners in the province of Quebec.
Specifically, FPSC's Board is composed as follows:
- Five CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professionals;
- Three public directors;
- One director at large; and
- One licensed financial planner from the province of Quebec.
