Results Now Available for the FPSC Level 1 Examination in Financial Planning
TORONTO, ON – January 8, 2019 – Results are now available for the November 2018 sitting of the FPSC Level 1® Examination in Financial Planning, which took place at 43 testing centres across Canada on November 29, 2018.
A total of 564 candidates wrote the FPSC Level 1 examination, the qualifying exam for FPSC Level 1 Certification in Financial Planning. The exam writers included 464 candidates who were taking the exam for the first time and 100 candidates who were re-attempting the exam. The overall exam pass rate was 69%. Among first-time writers, the pass rate was 74% and among repeat writers, the pass rate was 45%.
Candidates who successfully completed the FPSC Level 1 examination are eligible for FPSC Level 1 Certification in Financial Planning, which demonstrates an important level of technical competence and commitment to professional standards. Attaining FPSC Level 1 certification is a mandatory step on the path to CFP® certification. Some individuals will choose to remain FPSC Level 1 certificants and others will choose to pursue CFP certification.
Results of the November 2018 sitting of the CFP examination will be available on January 17.
Examinations are offered twice per year, with the next FPSC Level 1 exam sitting taking place on Thursday, June 6 and the next CFP exam sitting taking place on Friday, June 7. Registration is open now; candidates can register here.
