Thank you to everyone who attended the 10th annual Financial Planning Week. FPSC was pleased to welcome a record number of attendees to our 2018 events, at more than 1,200 delegates.

Highlights of our 2018 Financial Planning Week events included:

  • A keynote speech by Ontario Minister of Finance Vic Fedeli at the Celebration of the Profession Dinner
  • A compelling panel discussion on the topic of mental health issues at the Ethics Breakfast
  • A full day of engaging Continuing Education focused on professional skills at the CFP® Professional Symposium

2018 Awareness Campaign 

FPSC’s annual Financial Planning Week awareness campaign included a variety of marketing initiatives to help raise awareness about financial planning and its importance to the well-being of Canadians. The following activities took place leading up to and during Financial Planning Week:

  • The Globe and Mail’s annual Financial Planning Week Special Report was published on November 17th, 2018  reaching over 1.7 million weekday readers.
  • Over 32,336 hard copies of the Investment Executive mid-November 2018 print issue were distributed, which included an ad that prominently featured the FPW sponsor logos.
  • and experienced their highest ever traffic in November. The “Find a Planner” search tool had more than 8,000 page views, while there were almost 11,000 sessions on the consumer website.
